If you are a studio photographer, you are probably shooting tethered to your computer. That connection requires a cable from the capturing device to the computer. And here's the problem with that, it could damage your camera if you trip on the wire. The cable ports found on your DSLR are very fragile and a quick and strong pull on them could do some damages, rendering your camera useless (as for the tethering part)
So, the remedy to that issue, I suggest you tape the cord to the centre column on your tripod (and leave some room). This way, if you trip on the cable, your camera won't be hurt. It has saved me a few times.
